1. What if my garbage collection day falls on a holiday?
The holiday collection will be made the following work day. Drivers start earlier than normal so have containers out early, by 4:00 am or the night before.
2. What do I do if my garbage was not picked up?
Our collection truck drivers keep records of containers blocked by vehicles or not placed on the street in time. A special pick-up fee may be charged to re-send a truck. For other issues, call (307) 783-6450.
3. What do I do if my container is too small?
Do not place garbage on the ground. Only garbage within the container will be dumped. For an additional garbage pickup or for a second container, call (307) 783-6450.
4. What do I do if my container blew over?
Position heavy materials in the bottom of the container and make sure the lid is down. For their safety, the trucks safety and safety of the general public, drivers are not allowed to exit the vehicle to pick up containers or loose garbage.
5. How do I receive my free landfill passes?
Call (307) 783-6450 for information to receive your passes.
6. Am I responsible for blowing garbage?
City ordinance requires bagging of garbage prior to placing it in the City’s containers. Prevent loose garbage fly-away.
7. How do I dispose of household hazardous waste?
Call Public Works at (307) 783-6450 or the Uinta County Landfill at (307 799-5360 for disposal instructions.
8. Where can I take my recycling?
A recycle center is located at 100 County Road, or call (307) 789-5878.
