Uinta County Tobacco Prevention Program Informaiton:
The four main goals of the Uinta County Tobacco Prevention Program are:
1. Eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke
2. Prevent initiation of tobacco use among youth and reduce youth tobacco use.
3. Promote cessation among adults and youth; and increase enrollment in the Wyoming Quit Tobacco Program
4. Reduce tobacco use among low income and low educated populations
The Wyoming Quit Tobacco Program provides tobacco users with all of the resources they need to quit using tobacco. By calling 1-800-QUIT-NOW or by logging on to wy.quitnet.com they can receive free counseling, free nicotine patches, gum and lozenges. They can also receive a voucher for Chantix or Wellbutrin.
