Adult Protective Services
The goal is to ensure that the safety and basic needs are being met in the least restrictive environment. Program serves adults that are unable to manage and take care of self without assistance as a result of advanced age or physical or mental disability and is being abused, neglected, abandoned, exploited or intimidated. Services include casework, home care, day care, health care, homemaker services, emergency shelter, and assistance obtaining guardianship and referrals to appropriate community agencies.

A grass roots, non-profit organization providing education to the citizens of Uinta County on dangers of methamphetamine production, use and addiction. The Uinta County Methamphetamine Coalition/Initiative also provides consulting services to other community groups, concerned citizens, employers and Substance Abuse Counseling organizations as well as support for family members of addicted individuals in the fight against methamphetamine addiction. Supplemental Security Income (SSI)-
SSI is basically Social Security income for people who are not eligible for SSDI - do not have a long history of employment. SSI is economic needs based. The amount depends on living situation, earnings and unearned income. The big deal with SSI, is that if you are eligible or already receiving SSI, you are eligible for Medicaid, which offers immediate and comprehensive coverage of medical services and prescriptions ($2 co-pay). There is no cost for Medicaid.

Provides a safe, educational Out of School time environment for adolescents 6th through 12th grade. A program that will challenge, enlighten, and offer choices and options to youth of all cultures. Allows teens opportunities to gain support from caring Adult Mentors, become Peer Mentors to other youth and participate in activities that will help to foster healthy partnerships between youth and community. Builds lasting relationships and creates self-esteem and confidence within those who participate.

Provides short-term crisis care and long-term treatment for youth between the ages of 10 and 17. Youth shelter services include crisis intervention, family mediation, referrals to individual and family counseling and peer interaction. Youth group home services provide services for youth that have been placed under YAHA’s custody by order of juvenile court.
